Workgroup Beliefs and Behaviors Related to Organizational Resilience Capacity

Our research indicates that when organizations respond, innovate, and learn in the face of change and adversity; that is, exhibit collective resilience, employees working together demonstrate these beliefs and behaviors. Assessing the presence of these items using quantitative and qualitative methods and rigorously analyzing the resulting data reveal potentially untapped strengths and possible faultlines. This analysis leads to a targeted and deliberate look at the vital conditions in an organization that support or even deter the items prioritized for attention. This approach to building organizational resilience capacity provides sponsors a specific, accountable pathway for increasing a vital change readiness resource.
